TPE Options for Different Softness and Processing Needs

Plastic molding compound in this product refers to thermoplastic elastomer materials that combine rubber-like elasticity with thermoplastic processing capability.

The supplied product information focuses on TPE grades for medical-device-related infusion tubes, dialysis tubes, drip chambers, and infusion materials.

The material provides flexibility, elasticity, chemical resistance, non-migration characteristics, good processing performance, and a certain degree of transparency. It does not contain harmful components such as phthalates according to the supplied information.

Two representative material options are listed: a drip-chamber grade and an infusion-tube grade. Their different hardness, melt flow, strength, and elongation values allow buyers to select the material according to the structure and softness required by the finished product.

Drip Chamber and Infusion Tube Grades

The drip-chamber material has a Shore hardness of 46D and a density of 0.99 g/cm³. Its melt index is 9 g/10 min.

Tensile strength at break is at least 12 MPa, elongation at break is at least 350%, and tear strength is at least 75 kN/m.

The infusion material is softer, with a Shore hardness of 23D and a density of 0.89 g/cm³. Its melt index is 3 g/10 min.

Tensile strength at break is at least 16 MPa, elongation at break is at least 700%, and tear strength is at least 65 kN/m.

These differences mean plastic molding compound should be selected by the actual finished-product requirement rather than treating the two TPE grades as interchangeable.

Choose the Grade by Finished-Part Function

The drip-chamber material has higher hardness and a higher melt index. It is more suitable for molded parts that need greater shape retention together with useful processing flow.

The infusion material is softer and provides much higher elongation, making it more suitable for tubing that needs flexibility and repeated bending.

Buyers should confirm which product is being manufactured before selecting a grade. Hardness, flow behavior, elongation, and processing method should not be mixed between the two material options.

The currently supplied application information focuses on infusion and dialysis products. It does not provide performance information for unrelated general consumer or industrial products.

For different uses, customers should first confirm the exact grade, target hardness, processing method, and required properties before arranging sample trials.

TPE Customization and Batch Supply Support

Diyou New Material provides modified and customized materials based on PA, PC, PP, PPS, and TPE.

For TPE products with different hardness and flow characteristics, the technical team can support formulation design, processing conditions, and material performance verification.

Material selection can also be discussed according to whether the customer uses extrusion or injection molding.

Production and quality teams manage raw materials, production parameters, test results, and finished-product release through standardized traceability procedures.

For customers sourcing plastic molding compound, this provides a structured way to confirm drip-chamber and infusion-material samples before batch purchasing and to maintain technical communication when processing conditions or finished-product requirements change.
