The core production equipment for flame-retardant granules is a twin-screw extruder. The twin-screw extruder adopts a modular design, and the screw length-to-diameter ratio, barrel structure, screen changing, pelletizing method, and automatic control mode can be flexibly selected according to the product process characteristics. With the help of rich experience in screw configuration research and design and software technology, the screw configuration can be designed as needed to realize material conveying, mixing and homogenization, shearing and dispersion, degassing and devolatilization, pressure building and extrusion.

 

The optimized design combined with CNC machining improves the product precision, and the manufacturing precision of the key parts of the main unit reaches a new level, so as to better realize the precise control, high consistency and flexible interchangeability of the main unit process. This process is applicable to the production of flame-retardant masterbatches of resins such as PA, PBT, POM, PC, and ABS . In terms of specific manufacturing methods, there is a dual masterbatch manufacturing method, that is, long fiber masterbatch and halogen-free flame-retardant masterbatch are manufactured separately, and after the two are uniformly mixed, flame-retardant PP products are directly manufactured by injection molding [6].
