High Toughness Nylon Molding Compound is a modified PA66 material that combines useful mechanical performance with increased impact resistance.

 

It is suitable for parts exposed to assembly loads, movement, or external impact. Typical applications include textile accessories and sports facility components. The material can also be considered for mechanical gears and other structural parts used in textile machinery.

 

Compared with ordinary structural nylon, toughened PA66 places greater emphasis on resistance to breakage when a component is subjected to force. At the same time, it retains the mechanical properties required for supporting, connecting, and moving parts.

 

A Flexible Mechanical Performance Range

 

Representative data for the toughened series includes a density of 1.03–1.09 g/cm³ and tensile strength at break of 35–60 MPa.

 

Flexural strength is 49–71 MPa, while flexural modulus ranges from 1080 to 1700 MPa. The material also provides a notched Izod impact strength of 50–100 kJ/m².

 

Elongation at break is 32%–80%. These ranges allow different grades to be selected according to the required combination of structural strength, deformation capability, and impact absorption.

 

The flame-retardant performance listed for this series is UL-94 HB.
